Wiegerink, Mrs. Frances “Fran” Wiegerink, age 90 of Coopersville, passed away Thursday, April, 1, 2021. Mrs. Wiegerink was known as “Grandma Fran” to many people in Coopersville. Fran was a long-time member of the Coopersville VFW women’s auxiliary. She worked as Santa’s helper and would shop for the gifts they gave away. She baked many cakes for God’s Kitchen and Brought many meals to sick and shut-ins. Fran worked as a teacher’s aide and in the pre-school program at Coopersville Public Schools for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Wiegerink in 1989. She is survived by her children, John (Mary) Wiegerink, Jim (Paula) Wiegerink, Marcia Wiegerink; grandchildren, Dustin (Michele) Wiegerink, Corbin (Seidyl) Wiegerink, Brandi (Matt) Wade, Tina (Troy) Haag, Carrie (Tristan) Smith, Hans Wiegerink, Nicholas Wiegerink; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Milliken; brother, Lee Goodsell; several nieces and nephews and best friend, her K-9 companion, “Benny.” Relatives and friends may meet the family 5 pm to 8 pm Monday, April 5, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Cleveland St E, Coopersville, MI 49404. Masks and social distancing must be practiced at church. A private family only graveside service will be held. With burial in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery.
