Faye Diendorf

Faye Elizabeth Diendorf, age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Grand Rapids, MI. She was retired from the Coopersville Public Schools where she worked as a secretary in the Middle School. Faye enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to quilt and crochet, play board games and cards, do word search books and was a devoted sports fan of the University of Michigan, Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years John; children, Michael (Julie) Diendorf, James (Trish) Diendorf, Suzanne (Rick) Andrews, Patricia (Todd) McDonald and John (Kelly) Diendorf; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Patricia (Robert) Benson; sister-in-law Helen Bragdon and many nieces and nephews. Faye was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Virginia (Smith) Strait and sister Marge Kurtz. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Monday July 27, 2015 at St Francis Xavier Church, 2044 Gooding St, Conklin, MI 49403, with Fr Fred Bruker and Fr Pete Schaefer co-celebrants. Burial will take place in St Francis Xavier Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and one hour prior to the funeral mass at church. The Rosary will be prayed Sunday evening 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
