Emma Dausman

Emma Helen Dausman, age 95, of Grand Rapids, MI., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 after a brief illness.  Emma was born in Rockford, MI. to the late Frank and Emma (Neumann) Hockeborn. Emma was a devout Christian, she enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with family and friends, getting her private pilot’s license in the mid 1940’s where she met her husband Willard. She enjoyed traveling the world, bowling well into her 90’s and in 2009 at age 86 along with her partner Judy winning the Division 2 Doubles State Tournament. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard and sisters, Bertha, Marie and Sister Anne Benedicta. Emma will be missed by her children, Sharon Komar; Jerome (Barbara) Dausman, Richard (Carol) Dausman and Jane (Steve) Lessenger; grandchildren, Kathryn (Joseph) Battock, Jeffery Komar and finace Emerald, Amanda Dausman, Daniel Dausman, David Dausman, Christopher Dausman, Jack Dausman and Charlette Lessenger; great grandchildren, Jonah Battock, Micah Battock, Noell Komar and Caleigh Komar; brother Francis Hockeborn and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Oakhill Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1930 Leonard St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Visitation will be 5 – 7 P.M. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404 and Monday, July 2nd at Church from 10 to 11 am.
