Elton Parrish

Elton L. Parrish, age 99, of Grand Haven formerly of Grandville, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born in Bauer, MI. to the late Herbert and Euphimia (Wilson) Parrish. Elton worked as a farmer, bus and truck driver and was a member of Wright Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Coopersville. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Elton was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Viola Parrish, son, Russell Parrish, granddaughter, Harleen Dennison, great granddaughter, Valerie Parrish, sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Carol) Jensen and sister, Muriel Peck. He is survived by his children BethAnn (Edmond) Cabana; sons, Harley (Janet) Parrish and Lesley Parrish; 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; brother-in-law George Peck and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, Jan. 25th at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with Bernie Anderson and Pastor Jonathan Walter officiating. Burial will be in the Blendon Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 – 8 PM  and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Coopersville.
