Edward Lee é�a�A"Edé�a�� Smith, age 54, of Grand Rapids, passed away very unexpectedly after a brief illness Wednesday Jan 8, 2014. Ed was born and raised in Coopersville, graduated in the class of 1978 moved to Grand Rapids and has lived there for many years. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Barb Smith; fiance and partner of 30 years Nancy Heeren; siblings, Tami (Spence) Ledford, Anna (Duane) McDonald, Jason (Diane) Smith, Aaron (Deanne) Smith, grandmother, many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. In keeping with Edé�a�a��s wish cremation has taken place. A Life celebration service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday Jan 12, 2014 at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Edé�a�a��s memory may be made to a charity of oneé�a�a��s choice.
