Doris Elaine Slager - Sommerdyke

Doris Elaine (Swift) Slager-Sommerdyke, born Monday, September 14, 1936, passed away on Thursday December 21, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Doris is survived by her son, Ross (Sally) Slager; daughter-in-law, Linda (Jerry) Smith; son-in-law, Edward Bouwman; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her very special friend William “Hap” Hecker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Lee Slager; her son, M. Hunter Slager; her daughter Tani Lee Bouwman; and her second husband Joseph Paul Sommerdyke. Doris will be remembered for her love, loyalty and devotion to her family and friends. A graveside committal service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Coopersville Cemetery.
