Douglas Veeneman

Douglas “Dudley” Veeneman, age 68, of Coopersville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.  He was born in Grand Haven on June, 4th, 1954 to the late Melvin and Donna (Baker) Veeneman.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Veeneman.  Dudley will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Christine (Short) Veeneman, daughter Maggie (Nolan Golczynski) Veeneman, son Bruce (April) Veeneman; adoring grandchildren Jaden, Jordan, Addison, and Brody; and brother Dale (Eddie Lannin) Veeneman.  Dudley will be remembered for the love he showed for his family, his passion for the outdoors, and Dudley’s Tents, the business he owned and operated for 30 years.  He loved to fish and hunt.  He was an artist when it came to making his own fly-fishing lures and crafting his beautiful handmade knives.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10th at Remembrance Church (4575 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534) at 11am.  Relatives and family may greet the family from 10-11am at the church.
