Dorothy Schwallier

Dorothy M. Schwallier, age 94, of Conklin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 with her husband and family at her side. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late Napoleon and Delbeana (Duquette) Larabel. Dorothy was a city girl that became a farmeré�a�a��s wife and partner sharing her husband Leonardé�a�a��s love for the land. She always put God, husband and family first in her life and was very much a people person, she loved caring for and helping others in any way she could. She was a long time member of St Mary's Catholic Church where she was the choir director and organist for many years. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 74 years Leonard; children Richard Schwallier, Jim (Joyce) Schwallier, Jerry (Barbara) Schwallier, Tom (Jean) Schwallier, Patricia (Dick) Kenney, Steve (Cheryl) Schwallier, Dan (Deborah) Schwallier and Bill (Theresa) Schwallier; 38 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law Fred (Donna) Schwallier and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church in Marne with Fr. Anton Tran Celebrant. Interment will be in St Maryé�a�a��s Cemetery in Marne. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and also Monday one hour prior to the Mass at Church. The Rosary will be prayed 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Coopersville Old Kids Choir, P.O.
