Donna Drake

Donna Jean é�a�A"Jeanieé�a�� Drake (Mergener), age 79, of Coopersville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 16, 2015. She was born April 6, 1936 to Nicholas and Anna (Fleming) Mergener in Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Eual é�a�A"Nigé�a�� Drake, her son Robert Brooks, son-in-law David Schumann, brother Bud Mergener, and sister, Ethelyn Grochowalski. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Schumann (Jon Krauss), step-daughter Diane Tandy (John), grandchildren, Alyssa Davis (Jason), Matthew Yost (Jessica), Rachel VanderPloeg (David), Nicholas Tandy (Tonya) and Meghan Powell (Lorne), her twin brother Donald Mergener (Esther), sister Mary Ann Peffer and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville, Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health United, RNC Activities, 615 Bower Street, Greenville, MI 48838 or VFW Post 5598, 511 68th Avenue, Coopersville, Michigan.
