Donald Shackelton

Donald M. Shackelton, age 89, of Wyoming, MI. passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. He was a devoted Christian man, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He loved to travel and visited various states from Michigan to Florida and Pennsylvania to California. Don served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was born in Star City, MI. to the late Harold and Ester Shackelton. Don was preceded in death by his wife Frances in 2004, sisters, Winnifred Wagner and Elaine Vance, and his brother Gordon Shackelton. He is survived by his children, John Shackelton, David (Ruth) Shackelton, Dan (Marilyn) Shackelton and Dawn (Kevin) Christensen; grandchildren, Summer, Nadine, Heidi, Ben, Alicia and Justin; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brother Doug Shackelton and brother-in-law Ardis Vance. In keeping with his wish a graveside service will be held Tuesday 10:00 A.M. at Blythefield Memory Gardens in Belmont, MI. with Rev. Ron Sprik officiating.
