Dexter C. Pickett Jr., age 80, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was born in Newsoms, VA. to Dexter C. Picket Sr. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Picket who preceded him in death. Dexter served in the US Marnieé�a�a��s during Korea and worked for Roth Trucking in Grand Rapids. He is survived by Penny Pickett; his children, Roger (Cindy) Pickett, Doug Berg and partner Tom Grandy, Vickie (Doug) Staffen, Cyndie (Jeff) Drake, Shellie (Tim) Stone; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Francis Travis; Sister-in-law, Lynda Marks; Brothers-in-law, Jerry Clark and Larry (Vera) Clark, many nieces, nephews, and special family friend Diane Busman. Visitation Friday 2 to 4 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, M I, 49404. Burial will take place at Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery following the visitation at 4 pm.
