Delores Zimmer

Mrs. Delores J. Zimmer aged 92, of Coopersville,  passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 with her family by her side.  She was born January 29, 1927 the oldest of 5 girls to Ralph and Minnie (Lachniet) Tanis who preceded her in death.   Delores loved wintering in Florida, playing shuffle board, bingo and dancing with her husband Raymond F. Zimmer Sr, who also preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Shari Kovalak, Karen Wraight, grandson Craig Looman and sisters Nancy Koster and Shirley Kozlowski.  Delores is survived by her children, Carol Lockery, Kim (Dale) Betz, Kathy Langeland, Kris (Gerry) Neubecker, Raymond “Butch” (Suzi) Zimmer;  20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters Norlene Vander Schuur and Kay Jekel; many nieces and nephews.  In keeping with Delores wish cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019,  11 am at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville with Rev. Dan Schumaker officiating.   Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday at the Throop Funeral Home from 5-8pm.
