David Carl Holmes

David Carl Holmes, age 78, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026. He was born in Grand Haven, MI to the late Charles Holmes and Margaret Frederick. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Holmes. Dave loved spending time with family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports and playing softball. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years Judy Holmes; children, Roxanne (Joe) Denson, Amy Stuk, Carrie (Bob) Simon and Dustin Spinner; grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan) Erickson, Skyler Denson, Brecken Simon, Payton Simon, Emma Simon, Brianna Trowbridge, Logan Spinner and Alexis Spinner; 4 great grandchildren; sister Mary LeMieux and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook Street, Suite 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
