Darrell "Dj" Cook

Darrell “DJ” Cook, age 49, of Holland formerly of Coopersville, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 after a sudden illness. DJ attended and graduated from Ottawa Area Center School and in his younger years was active in Special Olympics. DJ participated in many Occupational Programs for special needs people. He was preceded in death by his brother David Cook. DJ is survived by his father, Carroll Cook and Dorothy Koppenol; siblings, Debra (Bob) Bates, Marianne (James) Talalay and Mark Cook; many nieces, nephews and cousins; his caregiver Barb Hapke. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Gathering for family and friends will be held 6 – 8 pm Wednesday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
