Charles Alan Vanweezel

Charles attended and graduated from Creston High School to then join the Army and serve his country. He fought in the Vietnam War as an Army Core Engineer.

He married his wife Nancy on October 24, 1970. He always enjoyed working with his hand and had a real love of cars. You could often find him in his garage working on something. He spent most of his career as a printing press operator running a collator for Meijer Printing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Van Weezel; parents; John and Eleanor Van Weezel; stepbrother James Haisley; stepsister Susan Poortenga; stepbrother John Van Dam; brother John Van Weezel, sister, Margaret (Larry) Seekman, and brother Michael Van Weezel.

He is survived by his son; Robert Van Weezel, daughter; Terri (Jason) Waichum, his half-sister Sandra Stob, sister-in-law; Joan Van Weezel; nephew Scott Van Weezel and children; niece Robin (Rick) Vargo and their child; nephew Todd (Amanda) Van Weezel and their child, and brother Michael Van Weezel’s life partner; Dee Igleski

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2026 from 10am - 12pm at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. Immediately following will be a military graveside service at Rosedale Memorial Park, 50 Lake Michigan Dr, Walker, MI 49544 and all are welcome to attend. For a lasting memory of Charles please consider memorial donations to the Coopersville VFW Post 5598, P.O. Box 174, Coopersville, MI 49404

The family would also invite anyone to a luncheon held the same day from 1pm - 3pm at the Coopersville VFW post - 511 68th Ave N, Coopersville, MI 49404. Condolences for the family may be left on Charles guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
