Charles Lapreze

Charles W. LaPreze, age 80, of Coopersville passed away Monday May 11, 2015. He was born in Allendale MI to Clifford and Charlotte (Rittenburg) LaPreze who preceded him in death. Charles grew up in the Allendale, Grand Haven, Spring Lake area, served in the US Marines from 1953 thru 1956 and worked as a Master Carpenter throughout the United States. In the 1950é�a�a��s Charles was invited to try out for the Detroit Lions at their training camp and also played semi-pro baseball with the Denver Bears. He is survived by his son, Robert and Dana LaPreze; grandson, Robert and Katelyn LaPreze and great grandchildren, Olivia, Jaxson and Veda; granddaughter, Kischa and Chris Albright; granddaughter, Chelsea and Derrick Wolfe; stepsister, Diana McCarthy and special cousin, Evelyn Garner. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family Sunday 2 to 4 pm at the River Village Activity Center located at 162 River St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
