Catherine Olney

Catherine é�a�A"Katieé�a�� Olney, age 82, of Lamont, passed away at Hospice of Holland Wednesday August 7, 2013. Katie was born in Evansville, IN on March 2, 1931 to George and Julia Elwood. She graduated from high school in Hollywood, FL and attended Purdue University. She worked for many years as a teller at Comerica Bank in Coopersville, MI. She was always an avid swimmer and greatly enjoyed many hobbies which included knitting, donating blood to Red Cross, walker, pet sitter, and spending time with her many friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her son David (Diana) Olney of Ovid; Grandchildren Amy Olney of McHenry, IL, Derek (Erin) Olney of McHenry, IL, and Shannon (Michael) Mains of Ludington, MI; And grandson Kade Olney of McHenry, IL. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 17 at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In memory of Katie, donations may be sent to Hospice of Holland. 270 Hoover Blvd. Holland, MI 49423.
