Carol Kay Banks (Triick), age 71, of Marne, passed away Sunday evening May 11, 2014 with family at her side. Carol was born July 3, 1942 in Grand Haven, MI. to the late Elmer and Ella (Longnecker) Triick and was a lifelong resident of the Marne area. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, knitting, crocheting and gardening. Her favorite time of year was spring and she loved to see all the trees and plants blossom and begin to bloom with new growth. Carol is survived by her husband, Donald and on May 21st they would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Kelly Brantley; two grandchildren, Steven Brantley and Rachel Brantley; brother Thomas and Linda Triick, father-in-law Lloyd Banks; two brother-in-laws, Kenneth (Sue) Banks and Dennis Banks and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her sister Faye Sullivan and mother-in-law Theresa Banks. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville with Rev. Mark Oswald officiating. Burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park in Standale MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
