Carl Parney

Mr Carl E. Parney, age 76, of Grand Rapids, was called home to his Lord and Saviour Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Carl was born in Grand Rapids to the late Arthur and Leona (Landis) Parney. He grew up in the Marne-Coopersville area before moving to Grand Rapids and served in the U.S. Navy. Carl was also preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Shaw and siblings, Donald, Richard, Louis, Gordon and Emmett. He is survived by his life mate, Patricia Rogers; son, Kip Parney and Jenny; daughter Toni and Rick Malek; Paté�a�a��s son Ron and Annette Pifer; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404, with Pastor Glenn Davis officiating. Burial will take place at the Marne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 5-8 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Coopersville.
