Brian Matthew Luke

April 16, 1985 — April 21, 2026

Brian Matthew Luke, age 41, of Coopersville, Michigan, passed away on April 21, 2026.

Born and raised in Coopersville, Brian was a familiar and friendly presence in the community. He was the beloved son of Jeff and Norma Luke, and a caring brother to Kevin Luke.

Brian had a personality that was hard to miss—he was funny, social, and genuinely kind. He had a way of connecting with people that made everyone feel welcome, and it’s no surprise that he was loved by so many who knew him.

He had an entrepreneurial spirit, running his own small vending machine business and raising chickens to sell fresh eggs. Brian also took great pride in being part of L&L Printing in Coopersville, where he built lasting relationships and contributed to the local community.

Brian enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He was a devoted fan of Michigan State University sports and the Detroit Lions, and he had a love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and spending time playing on his Sony PlayStation.

He will be remembered most for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Brian will be deeply missed by his parents Jeff and Norma (Schoenborn) Luke; brother, Kevin (Kristen) Luke; nieces and nephews, Henry Luke, Annabelle Luke, Dom (Sammi) Falzetta; great niece, Mia Falzetta, special uncle Phillip Luke and many other aunts, uncles, friends and cousins. The family would like to give a special thanks to Brian’s Angels and caregivers, Jen, Heather and Layna.

Brian was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents, Aloys and Lorraine Schoenborn and Charles and Lellevene Luke, several aunts and uncles and many special friends.

Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Throop Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Hoyer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. cemetery.

The family would like to invite everyone to join with them at 12:00 P.M. following the funeral service at the Coopersville VFW Post 5598, 511 68th Ave N, Coopersville, MI 49404 for a luncheon and continued time of fellowship.

In honor of Brian, donations may be made to Brian Luke Benefit Account to assist others in the community with special needs. Condolences for the family may be left on Brian’s guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
