Blake Thomasma

Blake W. Thomasma, age 65, of Coopersville, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late John and Marguerite (Rikkers) Thomasma. Blake was a graduate of Coopersville High School, served in the U.S. Army, owned Thomasma Builders and was a member of the Marne American Legion Post 376. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years Denise, brother, John, sister, Jan Weist and sister and brother-in-law Katherine (Roger) Moore.  Blake will be missed by many loved ones and friends. He is survived by his children, Andrew (Ida) Thomasma, Nathan (Jeni) Thomasma and Katherine (Bob) Kluting; 5 grandchildren, Destiny, Preston, Mason, Joshua and Avery; 2 sisters, Marge (Bob) Wilson and Barb (Tom) Parsons; brother Robert Thomasma; brothers-in-law, Fritz Weist and Ken (Brenda) VanderMolen; sister-in-law Marie (Rick) Mundy and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 19, at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with Rev. Tommy Boutell officiating. Burial will be at Rosedale Memorial Park in Standale. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Coopersville.
