Augustine Winn

Augustine Winn (Acklin), age 80, passed peacefully into the arms of her savior on Friday, September 15, 2017, surrounded by her children. She was born in Bald Knob AR., to the late Robert and Sylvia (Sterling) Acklin. Augustine loved spending time with her family more than anything and enjoyed gardening especially growing lilacs and roses. She was gifted with southern hospitality and loved her Savior Jesus Christ. Augustine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Guy Winn on July 23, 2016 and daughter-in-law Patricia Winn. She is survived by her children, Stanley Winn, Ron (Heidi) Winn, Deb (Don) Foster and Kim (Dave) Baar; 6 grandchildren, Tricia (Rev. Mike) Metten, Nate (Amanda) Winn, Rebecca Foster, Michelle Foster, Augustena Mae Baar and Jon Baar; 10 great grandchildren, Brody, Wyatt, Margaret, Jaxon and Evelyn Metten, Trever, Emily, Brenan, Jaxon and Tanner Winn; sisters, Velma Edmondson and Fay Dean Manley; sister-in-law, Nancy Winn; several nieces and nephews. Augustine was also preceded in death by her siblings, MeadowLee Parham, Odell "Junior" Acklin, Veston Acklin, Thelma Simpson and Kathleen Moore. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. Burial in Rosedale Memorial Park, Standale, MI.
